Let the Church Say Amen. I believe many of the artists back in the day had more soul because many of them came up in the church and it helped hone their "soulful" skills. I have no proof of such a claim, it's just something I believe... A great deal of the greats came from down south ..when they moved North...they bought the Church with them...and put it in their deliveries, performance, creativity, writing, producing, etc... and then they married it with great choreography. The late 60's tru..70 this was the of some wonderful music, let keep this music alive! keep history going!
